Total U.S. output of medical equipment and supplies will expand 3% in 2008. This follows a rise of nearly 4% in 2007.

The monthly data will remain in a gradual uptrend in 2008, and the average growth rate will stay in the range of 2%-3%.

Total U.S. output of medical equipment and supplies expanded 3% in July when compared with the same month last year. This followed a 1% rise in the previous month.
