Thin Wall Injection Molding PE Portfolio Expanded
NPE 2024: NOVA Chemicals has expanded its TWIM PE offerings with Surpass IFs 730 and Ifs932 high-melt injection molding grades
With the commissioning of its second Advanced Sclairtech technology manufacturing facility at the new Rokeby site, NOVA Chemicals has made capital investments to grow its thin-wall injection molding (TWIM) product portfolio, and to reintroduce SURPASS IFs730 and IFs932 high melt index injection molding grades.
Surpass IFs730 and IFs932 resins are designed to meet the demands of the fast-paced injection molding process and provide versatility as well as compatibility when run on different production/conversion lines. Key features for these grades include:
• Enhanced shear thinning for processability
• Fast cycle times
• Anti-warpage properties
• Broad food contact and end-use compliance
• At-Line Testing to produce consistent, defect-free PE
These Surpass products complement NOVA’s longstanding line of Sclair injection molding grades, which cover a range of specialized melt indexes and densities to enable convertors to select raw materials fine-tuned to their specific process. Both Surpass and Sclair resins are available to customers in North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia.
