Additives Tailored to Improve Recyclability and Support Other Sustainability Goals
K Show offerings with potential to improve efficiency and recyclability.
Milliken, a specialty chemical company based in Spartanburg, SC, will present its line of additives at the upcoming K Show in Dusseldorf this October.
In keeping with one of the central themes of this year’s K Show, circularity, Milliken will highlight additives that allow its customers to create more recyclable plastics and provide other sustainability and efficiency benefits.
Deltamax, a modifying additive for recycled PP, increases performance by balancing melt flow, impact strength, and stiffness. Deltamax also can be used with virgin materials, reducing energy consumption by managing cycle times and processing temperatures.

Deltaflow, as the name suggests, modifies the viscosity of recycled PP. It can help processors by easing both extrusion and injection molding by increasing the melt flow rate.
The company’s Ultraguard solutions are aimed at solving the thorny problem of multilayer film recycling, by simply eliminating it. Ultraguard can be added to PE to improve barrier properties, enabling a mono-material design for packaging products. The additive can also enable downgauging to use less material and reduce part weight.
Millken will also present Millad Nx 8000 Eco, and Hyperform HPN, both PP additives that provide an energy savings benefit. Millad is a clarifying agent and Hyperform helps balance stiffness and impact resistance.
At K Show 2022, Milliken will be located at Booth A27 in Hall 6.
